Helen Morgun, a Ukrainian artist, offered us a cool drawing series we didn’t realise we needed. She reinvented our favourite celebrities as Disney characters. Helen has been working on the sketching concepts for a while, and the surprise mashups have been sweeping the internet.

Helen definitely offered Hollywood some ideas, from Emma Stone as Merida to Billie Eilish as Kida Nedakh. Before “assigning” each famous person their animated character alter-egos, it’s apparent that the artist meticulously investigates not just their physical attributes but also their personality. Helen told Bored Panda, “I’ve loved Disney since I was a kid.” “I’ve amassed a beautiful collection of Disney cartoons and characters throughout the years. And the remarkable part is that they keep surprising me.

“I started this series with a drawing of Rachel McAdams,” the artist explained, “then I painted her as Cinderella.” This popular actress is one of my favourites, and I’ve always thought she’d be perfect for this job. After finishing the portrait, I realised that I could produce a series of drawings using several notable people as Disney characters, so I started looking for commonalities. My followers were very enthusiastic about the concept.”

“In my Instagram stories, I started polling people to select between two renowned people as candidates for a new Disney character. It’s entertaining.”

Helen intends to continue working on this project, despite the fact that she has been working on it for a long time. “As I already stated, I have a large number of fans that enjoy my series. I enjoy transforming real-life celebrities into these well-known caricatures. Every time, it’s like a mini-adventure.”
