We feel as if we’ve been smacked in the face, and it’s becoming difficult to keep back the tears. Jenny-Jinya, a German artist who goes by Jenny-Jinya on the internet, has just released her newest heartbreaking comic. Jenny created a narrative this time about an owner’s emotional challenges as he takes his dog to the vet to be put to sleep and waits with him till his last moments. It’s so powerful that it’ll make the bottom lip of any animal lover tremble.
Take a deep breath, scroll down, and tell us in the comments how the comic made you feel and if you’ve ever been in a situation similar to the protagonist’s. Jenny’s latest comics have been featured on Bored Panda before, and you can read about them here, here, and here.
“As someone who has always loved animals, I knew I would have to let some go at some point.” I also take in sick and injured animals on a regular basis; however, not all of them survive. Jenny told Bored Panda, “I always stayed with these animals till the end because it felt natural, like the correct thing to do.””But then a heartfelt letter from a veterinarian went viral, pleading with people not to abandon their dogs in their dying hours. This made me feel even more assured, and it made me want to sketch about it even more.”

Give your pet one last great day
Jenny stated that she took longer than usual to sketch this comic. “I recognised my own dog in this comic, and it was often excruciating for me.” I’ve rarely felt so relieved after a comic was completed. But I’d want to see more discussion on this subject.”
The artist also advised us to give our pets one last wonderful day before putting them to death, if at all possible. “Let it visit its pals and eat its favourite foods once more.” Make it aware that it is cherished above all else. Then lead it to its final destination, making sure your voice is the last one it hears.”
With her passionate drawings, the artist continues to reach out to a growing number of individuals. Jenny’s Instagram followers have more than doubled in the previous six months, from 174k in February to 344k in mid-August.
Previously, the artist shared some specifics about her illustration technique with Bored Panda. Jenny claims that each comic takes a different amount of time to create. Much depends on how much study the illustrator must conduct—she takes each cartoon she creates extremely seriously.
