Comic books have captivated me since I was a child (and I’m still young). On my bookcase, I have copies of Garfield, Tinkle, Archie’s, Family Circus, and a few more, which provide a delightful dose of nostalgia. I discovered comic strips by Sarah Andersen and Cassandra Calin when I first joined Instagram. I was enthralled by the quality, wit, and degree to which I could identify to them. “These webcomics are pretty awesome!” I kept thinking. I wish I could draw as well as they do!”

I didn’t have an arts degree (and still don’t), and I couldn’t draw a straight line. I had drawn portraits of my pals before, so I wasn’t a complete novice when it came to drawing, but I was penciling directly out of my head… That frightened me! How do people manage to achieve that? Surely, that requires a bachelor’s degree in the arts! But I doubt it.

After being inspired by a friend’s artwork, I finally decided to try my hand at cartooning. It was a bad start, but after a few weeks, I started to improve. I made my first amusing comic on paper and uploaded it online, receiving a little amount of favorable feedback that encouraged me to keep drawing.

I next concentrated on saving money to get a laptop and a pen tablet so that I could digitize the amusing doodles I’d made. After that, I began digitally drawing in order to make artwork with clean linework and color.

My charming comics started to get a better response on Instagram soon after. I started getting reposts from popular comic pages, and my account slowly increased. It’s been that way ever since.

I create relatable comics about my daily existence. Why write words in a diary when I can document my life in comics and share it with the world, I reasoned? The majority of my comics are based on true events or conversations; the rest are the result of random thoughts conjuring up amusing scenarios. Because I want people to be able to relate to the characters, I don’t give them names.

My page has increased and my artwork has developed over the last year. Here are a few of my comics that have gone viral on Instagram or Facebook. Enjoy your reading!
