My name is Yael, and I’m a comic book artist and illustrator. I collaborate on webcomics with writer Ehud Lavski and have my own webcomics running. Ehud Lavski and I started making short comics and posting them online. Our comics have been read millions of times to date, and many people have had significant emotional reactions to them.
The following are some of our most recent projects. In some ways, the three of them (like many of our stories) are fairy tales: a wealthy father with an insatiable appetite, a missing youngster, and a diary discovered chronicling an extraterrestrial encounter.
We enjoy creating comics and sharing them for free online. If you enjoy our work, please consider becoming a Patreon supporter so that we may continue to tell these tales. Click here, here, here, here, or here to see earlier comics.

I enjoy using character illustration and sequential art to tell visual stories. I also collaborate on Star Wars comics with IDW Publishing. When I’m not sketching, I play drums in a few of rock bands.
I’ve always loved to draw, but I also wanted to create tales, so I went to college to study animation. I quickly discovered that I’m not a great animator and that animation requires a lot more time and effort than comics (at least for me).
I’ve written and illustrated several of my own stories, but I leaped at the chance to collaborate with writer Ehud Lavski on some short comics. Working with Ehud helped me develop my narrative abilities and have a better understanding of the language of comics.

The layout and planning of a page is the most difficult element for me creatively. This is always the most time-consuming. Choosing the panel flow, camera direction for each panel, and what to reveal and what to keep out. Things normally proceed more faster once the planning is completed.
The character design is fantastic. This is usually my favourite part of sketching, and once the design is finished in comics, I enjoy experimenting with the characters and exploring their spectrum of emotions.
