Most people are good, as we always make a point of remembering here at SóNotíciaBoa – although the few bad people do a damn damage…
A sergeant was surprised by the kindness of the people when he went to investigate two wheelchair robberies, done with a knife, in Vancouver, Canada.
Sgt. Mark Horsley took on the role of a wheelchair user and took to the streets.
The officer expected people to take advantage of him, or maybe steal it. But that’s not what happened.
There was a young man who stopped and asked if he could pray for the undercover police officer.
A man stopped to talk about his mother, who was in a wheelchair. During the encounter, the he reached out towards the policeman’s waist bag, where some of his money was falling, and warned to be careful.
During the disguise the policeman provoked several situations in which people could be dishonest, but no one went. Instead, at the end of the operation, the officer had 24.75 dollars, almost 100 reais, more than the day began.
Horsley told Up Worth, “No one took advantage of my vulnerability… The affection and compassion expressed to me, in my eyelash disguise, was inspiring.”
