At 69, “Terminator” star Linda Hamilton refuses to chase youth or look backward, embracing her age and the life experience etched into her face with total acceptance. While she prioritizes health, she values balance over rigidity, noting that indulging in the occasional jelly donut is part of a healthy, aging-friendly mindset.
Best known globally for defining the action-hero genre as Sarah Connor across the “Terminator” franchise—including 1984’s original film, 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” and 2019’s “Terminator: Dark Fate”—Hamilton is now bringing her legendary screen presence to television.
She will star in the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” premiering Nov. 26. Hamilton plays Dr. Kay, an intimidating and brilliant head scientist overseeing the military occupation of Hawkins who ruthlessly tracks down Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Eleven.
The role actually pulled her back from the brink of retirement. Hamilton confessed to Variety that severe hip pain had her ready to quit acting for good until her agent ignored her wishes, secured the “Stranger Things” gig, and signed her up for a year-long run.
