A kitten is adored by everyone.
Not just kittens, but all baby animals, which is understandable given how adorable they are. But what about the animals that are already adults? Don’t they also deserve to be loved? ‘Of course they deserve some attention,’ you might say.So, why do so many people adopt kittens?
Ok, I’ve got a comic for you today that may just persuade you otherwise. Brittney is the creator of this comic, and she has certainly swayed my opinion.
In her own words, the storey behind this comic is as follows.
This was supposed to be a short warm-up, but it turned into a comic I’d been meaning to draw for a long time. This is a very important topic to me, and I would appreciate it if you could read it.
I recently heard a storey that completely broke my heart. A family decided to adopt a cat from a shelter. A three-legged cat captured the daughter’s heart. “Absolutely not,” the father said emphatically. He couldn’t walk because he was missing a leg.The cat was so close to finding a home, but his missing leg kept him from doing so. Why is this happening?!
When they see an incomplete animal, many people instinctively say “nope.” I understand, but adoptability does not imply loveability. Nine out of ten people would prefer a kitten over an adult catAnd the 10% of people who want an adult cat always ignore “different” species.
.All I ask is that people consider the possibility of having a “different” pet in their lives. Choose the pet with whom you fall in love, but give each one a fair chance to win your heart.
Don’t underestimate them; they are just as deserving of a loving home as any other pet. They still purr, still enjoy a cuddle on a warm lap, still play, and still adore you. Trust me when I say that the next time you’re looking for a new cat, you can look no further., just go over to the one cat with one eye missing and see what he’s up to!
